Claims Examiner I
Location: Sacramento, CA (Hybrid Eligible)
About the Opportunity
Seeking two detail-oriented and motivated Claims Examiner I professionals to support their Claims Department on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with healthcare administration, medical claims processing, or insurance experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to accuracy and quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process medical claims accurately and efficiently.
- Verify claim information for completeness and compliance with applicable guidelines.
- Research and resolve claim discrepancies, errors, and exceptions.
- Apply benefit and eligibility information when adjudicating claims.
- Maintain productivity and quality standards while meeting processing deadlines.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding claim-related inquiries when needed.
- Document processing decisions and maintain accurate records.
- Follow established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with computer systems and data entry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous healthcare claims processing experience.
- Experience in medical billing, insurance claims, benefits administration, or healthcare operations.
- Knowledge of healthcare terminology and claims adjudication processes.
- Familiarity with health insurance regulations and benefit plans.
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to learn quickly.
- Committed to delivering accurate and timely work.
- Schedule & Work Environment: Hybrid work arrangement available.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $21.00 per hour
