Order Entry Clerk - 1st Shift | Temp-to-Hire

Indianapolis, IN

Looking for a role where your computer skills, attention to detail, and customer service experience can shine? Pro Resources is hiring an Order Entry Clerk for a manufacturing company in Indianapolis. You'll help customers, process orders, and keep things organized while learning the company's products and systems.

The Details

• Hours: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
• Pay: $18.50/hour to start, with potential to increase to $21/hour once trained and demonstrating proficiency
• Opportunity: Temp-to-hire
• Start: As soon as possible

What You'll Do

• Enter customer orders accurately and review purchase orders.
• Prepare quotes and keep customers updated on their orders.
• Answer customer questions by phone and email.
• Assist with returns, credits, and payment processing.
• Maintain records, update spreadsheets, and support the customer service team.

What You'll Bring

• 1-3 years of data entry and customer support experience in an office or business setting. Call center experience alone does not meet this requirement.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Accurate typing and numeric data entry skills.
• A friendly, professional communication style.
• The ability to stay organized, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
• High school diploma or GED.

ERP system experience and an associate degree are a plus. Occasional overtime may be required.
