RN Phone Triage NurseNaphCare has an excellent opportunity for a RN Phone Triage Nurse to join our Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham, AL supporting the Residential Reentry Centers (RRC) for the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP).This position supports inmates who are still in federal custody and have transitioned to a community setting. The RN Phone Triage Nurse answers phone calls and coordinates telehealth to assess and expedite medical care services while coordinating closely with BOP and RRC staff nationwide.This position will be remote; but will require coming into the office at times. Local residents only.ResponsibilitiesPosition Responsibilities:Possess understanding of the principals and concepts of clinical triage to help determine the best type of care for the patients.Ability to assess clinical need/urgency and direct care via phone calls and telehealth video visits.Document clinical assessments in TechCare Online and follow up with the patients as necessary.Work with the RRC staff and patients to increase compliance with medical recommendations.Monitor, report, and clinically document regarding usage of the nurse line.Triage requested medical services based on clinical needs.Coordinate with NaphCare's medical scheduling, contracting, social work, and medical records corporate teams to ensure timely care for the resident.Serve as a liaison between BOP, RRC's, providers, and residents.QualificationsPosition Requirements:Active, unrestricted RN (Registered Nurse) in the state of Alabama w/ a minimum of 5 years clinical (multi-specialty) experience required.Utilize the ANA Standards of Practice to ensure the highest quality of care is provided.Strong general practitioner skillsetCorrectional experience preferred but not required.Excellent communication skills.Ability to work independently with various multispecialty physicians, federal employees and community federal contractors.Flexible working hours.Remote work allowed (after training).Equal Opportunity Employer: disability/veteranThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
